Then simply thread the correct PPS™ adapter into the Spray Gun.PPS™ Eliminates the Need for Traditional Mixing Cups and FiltersConventional Paint Cup Systems, a Painter needs to mix paint materials in a separate cup, then transfer (or strain) the paint through a filter into a paint reservoir. Every time the Painter transfers paint material, there is waste associated in the mixing cup and filter. With PPSTM, place PPS’s disposable liner within the re-usable PPSTM Cup. Mix primer, sealer, base coat or clear coat (or other Paint Materials) according to the paint manufacturers' guidelines. PPS™ Lids will either contain 125 micron filters which are often recommended for water-borne paint materials; or 200 micron filters for traditional solvent-based paint materials. Always reference the Paint Manufacturer to ensure the recommended filter to strain the paint material. Snap-in place the disposable lid (with the pre-welded-in filter), and attach the locking collar to complete the PPS System.Next, turn the Spray gun upside down to mate the PPS™ adapter to the PPS™ Lid-Liner-Cup-and-Collar assembly. Attach the spray gun adapter to the PPS™ assembly with a quarter turn. Make sure the lid prongs are fully engaged above the adapter edge. The spray gun-adapter-PPS™ assembly is now secure and ready to spray.After spraying, disconnect the air and return the material back into the gun cup by turning the assembly upside down, and pulling the gun trigger. Gently tap a work bench to break the surface tension of the residual paint on the filter. Disconnect the Spray Gun-PPS™ Adapter from the PPS™ assembly by turning a quarter turn.The Painter now has a choice of using a sealing plug to temporary store non-catalyzed paint materials or clean-up. Since the liner, lid and built-in filter are all disposable, leaving only the adapter and spray gun to be cleaned. Simply throw the disposable lid and liner in the appropriate approved waste containers specified by the Paint Manufacturers (or local government requirements) and use a small amount of solvent required for cleaning the spray gun and the PPS™ adapter. It is possible to clean your paint gun with as little as 3 fluid ounces (90mL) of solvent. With this disposable paint system, shops are often experiencing a 70 percent reduction in cleaning solvents, which also means cleaning solvent savings, solvent disposal savings, and less operator exposure to solvents, along with a reduction in VOCs. Since the Painter uses a new disposable lid (with welded-in filter) and disposable liner for each mix, there is less risk of outside contamination, and less time spent mixing, filtering, and clean up, often improving productivity in prep and clean-up time by as much as 50 percent.
