  • Overview

    This course aims to provide participants the essential fire safety awareness skills and knowledge for safe operations and emergency response in the wind industry, applicable to both onshore and offshore settings. The refresher course ensures participants keep their skills current and effective.

    Course Objectives

    After completing this course, participants will be able to:

    • Gain theoretical and hands-on training to prevent fires
    • Make quick and correct decisions when assessing a fire
    • Effectively extinguish fire using basic firefighting tools

    Who Should Enroll

    This course is suitable for individuals new to the wind industry or those needing GWO certification to access work sites. It is also suitable for both onshore and offshore work, and pairs well with other GWO training modules.

    The refresher course is designed for seasoned professionals in the wind industry who need to renew their GWO qualification certificate, ensuring they refresh and maintain their competence in these areas.

    Certification

    Certificate will be issued by the Global Wind Organization (GWO). It will be valid for 2 years from date of issue, after which a refresher training will be required.

    Participants Prerequisites

    • Participants must be physically fit and capable of participating in moderately strenuous practical activities.
    • Participants must adhere to the Drug and Alcohol Policy.
    • Participants
    • Basic Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety helmets, safety glasses, coveralls, and gloves will be provided during practical training
    • Meals are provided daily, including lunch and two coffee breaks"are required to wear long pants and safety boots for the training

    Required Documents for Enrollment

    • Medical Checkup Document
    • Copy of ID. Card /or Passport
    • Personal WINDA ID

    Course Inclusions (for trainings held at 3M):

    • Basic Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety helmets, safety glasses, coveralls, and gloves will be provided during practical training
    • Meals are provided daily, including lunch and two coffee breaks

    Class Size:

    • Theory Sessions: 1 instructor for every 12 students
    • Practical Sessions: 3 instructors for every 12 students
