3M™ Cold Shrink/Sheath Wrap, Armored or Non-Armored Splice Kit 5551-3C-AC is for splicing 3/C, 5/8 kV shielded, armored and non-armored cables. Connectors are not included. Kits include Sheath Wrap to reconstitute the cable’s armor. Meets the requirements of IEEE 404. Each kit makes one 3/C splice.
3M™ Cold Shrink Shielded Splice Kit 5551-3C-AC Series are for splicing 5 kV and 8 kV shielded or non-shielded, armored or non-armored, solid dielectric, power cables. Meets requirements of IEEE 404. Each kit contains all the materials (except connectors and optional ground strap) required to construct three single conductor splices on tape shield, wire shield or UniShield®. Kit includes components for splicing armored cables. The kit can also be used to splice a shielded to a non-shielded 5/8 kV cable. The kits are sized to fit cables with copper or aluminum conductors ranging from 6-4/0 AWG.
